This debut author wrote this book as a
result of helping her teenage daughter with a health report on AIDS and HIV.
During their research; they came across a staggering statistic published by The
Center for Disease Control. The statistic stated that black females were
the highest number of new HIV cases among all races of women. That shocking
statistic prompted her daughter to ask the question - WHY? At that time,
Nubia couldn't confidently answer her daughter's question. However, Nubia
decided to find the answer for her daughter no matter how long it took and no
matter how many hours of searching was involved.
Her dedication to finding the answer for
her daughter lasted over 2 1/2 years. And finally, her research and dedication
led her to Down Low. Nubia became fixated on the untold secrets of Down Low
brothers who were labeled as the primary source of the high number of black
females being diagnosed with HIV and AIDS. Therefore, Nubia decided to put her
research, findings, statistics, discoveries, news, revelations and revealments
into a book for all to read. This is how "20 Warning Signs of Down Low Brothers"
came to existence.
